Packaging Advice

Shipments going abroad travel hundreds or even thousands of kilometers depending on the country to which they will be delivered. Aiming at economical and robust delivery, FAST EXPRESS would like to remind you, our valued customers, that packaging is one of the leading issues. It is always the sender's responsibility to ensure adequate packaging is provided.

Failure to pay attention to small details when packing International Shipments may result in damage or delay in the shipment. Here are some suggestions you can make to make sure every package is shipped on time and in undamaged condition.

The parcels used for the parcel to be packed are not resistant. Make sure that your parcel is not punctured or damaged, that it is solid and especially dry. Choose a box in the most suitable size for the material to be packed. Oversized boxes will also bring a high cost in terms of transportation fee.
Select and use a suitable cushioning material to fill the gaps in the package to prevent the shipment from moving. Avoid voids. Excessive use of filler reduces stacking resistance. Avoid the use of boxes that are too large for their contents and require filling. Otherwise, your parcel may be crushed. As inner packaging material, air bubble packaging material, air cushions, honeycomb cardboard box and packaging filler foam are widely used as packaging materials. They all have different characteristics and it is important to use them appropriately. Although air bubble packaging material has the ability to fill the gaps, it may be more effective to use more suitable materials to fill larger gaps. Filling the box so that there is no empty space in it is important to prevent damage to both the content and the box by preventing the contents of the shipment from moving during transportation. Place space-filling material on the bottom of the box and then around the item you're shipping. Make sure there are no spaces and that the content does not move. When choosing gap-filling materials, be sure to choose materials that will provide adequate support for the weight of the post's contents. Some materials can collapse or deflate under the weight of the contents, resulting in empty space inside the box. When shipping multiple items in one package, always wrap each piece individually and separate them with cardboard or other suitable divider material. Dividers are useful during transport, especially to prevent damage from stacked items coming into contact with each other. Small or loose items should be placed in inner carriers or bags to prevent them from separating during transport.

It will be useful to tape at least 3 times. H-shape should be applied both on the top and the bottom of the package. Make sure all the junctions of the box are sealed using the H taping method. Apply 1 strip of tape along the middle where the can lids meet. Apply 2 strips of tape along both the sides of the can. Use more tape for heavier shipments. Repeat H-taping to seal the joints at the top and bottom of the box. Packages must be wrapped with cling film on the same surface with at least 3 layers against wetting, and must be isolated from the outside against moisture and wetting.

For shipments weighing less than fifty kilograms, it considers it appropriate to use packing straps or ties. Packages must be capable of supporting the weight of the goods without the need for a packing ring. When shipping items weighing more than thirty kilograms, it is convenient to use a packing strap to secure the shipment, provided it is handled correctly. Shipments over seventy kilograms must be aligned and fixed on the pallet and delivered as such.

Although FAST EXPRESS cannot guarantee that the shipments are kept in a stable direction during transportation, our domestic and international transportation personnel look to see if there are any special handling instructions in sight. With the correct use of handling instruction labels, it ensures that the shipments are properly transported and stacked according to the direction of the packages during transportation and stacking. For the materials that will break inside, the breakable label must be attached.
